Miskyi Theatre (“City Theatre”) is an experimental urban theatre initiative born in Kyiv, Ukraine. It tells stories through city walks and public spaces. The theatre even has its own tiny kiosk – a 2×2 meter coffee and storytelling spot that embodies the project’s spirit of intimacy and accessibility.
I developed the theatre’s visual language, animated logo, and website – all inspired by urban movement, routes, and sound. The identity is built around dynamic arrows and modular forms, creating a flexible system that reflects how the theatre connects people and places.
Below, I’ll dive deeper into how this concept works – and how the animated logo symbolizes a beating heart, capturing the rhythm and pulse of a living, moving Kyiv.
